Farever releases May 6, 2026 on PC. Developed and published by Shiro Games, it’s an online multiplayer action RPG set in a big fantasy open world where exploration is designed to be physical, climbing, gliding, diving, and dropping into dungeons as you find them. The hook is a mix of dynamic combat, co-op progression, and “you’re not the chosen one” energy, where your identity comes from build choices, gear crafting, and how you tackle the world with friends.

Review

Farever is chasing a modern co-op RPG vibe: open world wandering, quick combat, and enough movement freedom that exploration doesn’t feel like jogging between quest markers. The pitch is less about being a mythic hero and more about being one capable adventurer among many, which is a good fit for a game built around multiplayer.
The movement layer is the first thing that could make it stick. Climbing and gliding aren’t exciting on their own, but they change how players read terrain. Suddenly a cliff isn’t a barrier, it’s a route. That’s the kind of thing that makes a world feel bigger without actually making it emptier. Pair that with dungeons and camps scattered across the map, and you have a loop that naturally creates little “let’s go see what that is” sessions.
Combat and build variety will decide the long tail. The game talks about classes, weapon skills, and hundreds of combinations, and that only matters if those combinations feel meaningfully different in play. Co-op also needs roles to make sense. If everyone plays the same and enemies don’t force coordination, multiplayer becomes background noise.
The gentle caveat is scope. Online RPGs live on content volume, performance stability, and the pace of updates. If progression stalls or the world starts repeating itself, players drift.
Verdict: A promising online action RPG built around movement-heavy exploration and co-op combat, with longevity hinging on build depth, content cadence, and technical stability.
