Endless Legend 2
Endless Legend 2 is Amplitude Studios’ return to the fantasy 4X stage, arriving via Early Access on September 22, 2025 for Windows. Set on the ocean world Saiadha, the game unfolds through turn-based conquest, diplomacy, and discovery on a shifting map shaped by “Tidefall” events—receding oceans reveal new lands, dangers, and resources. Players command asymmetric factions like the coral-spreading Aspects or the militant Kin of Sheredyn, each with distinct styles and narrative beats. Early Access launches with five factions, procedural maps, tactical combat, hero-led RPG layers, and a mysterious, changing world that demands adaptation.

Standard Edition — what’s included
- Access to the Early Access build, including five playable factions (e.g., Aspects, Kin of Sheredyn, Necrophage).
- Full procedural world with Tidefall-driven dynamics.
- Tactical turn-based battles, hero progression, and narrative objectives unique to each faction.
- Expected updates post-launch expanding content, features, and likely more factions.
Review (Early Access Impressions)
Endless Legend 2 doesn’t reheat the old formula—it tilts it. Each tidefall reshapes the map, forcing you to shift strategies mid-game. Factions feel markedly different: the Aspects spread influence via coral spores; Kin of Sheredyn dig in defensively, outlasting opponents. Combat is tighter and more tactical, with hex grid nuance and real positioning.
Exploration and narrative drip through quests and faction stories. Heroes still matter, but now they carry purpose beyond stats. The world already brims with flavor—ruined temples, drowned cities, and strange anomalies begging discovery. Playing the demo feels less like a teaser and more like a glimpse into a living strategy world.
Early Access isn’t without wrinkles. Only five factions means limited variety at the start. Diplomacy systems feel shallow, and UI clarity suffers under color and icon clutter. Still, it leans into feedback—developers are active, demo impressions are being logged, and small changes already reflect community suggestions.
Verdict: A richly layered 4X that feels purposeful even in Early Access—uneven in spots, but brimming with strategy and world-building potential.
