Roman Triumph: Survival City Builder released on September 16, 2025 for PC (Steam), after an Early Access launch on April 3, 2025. Developed by Coreffect Interactive and published by Forklift Interactive. You build a Roman frontier settlement, keep citizens fed and safe, please the gods, and survive raids from barbarians and myth creatures like the Hydra and Minotaur. City layout matters. Temples, farms, workshops, walls, and ballistae slot together with a research tree, while trained legionaries turn defense into offense.

Review

Roman Triumph blends cozy planning with pressure. The early hours are about food chains, water, and housing, then the game flips the table with seasonal raids and god moods that can bless or wreck your schedule. Combat is simple but readable: towers bite hard, legionaries hold a line, and walls buy time. The loop works because building better industry directly fuels stronger defenses. You feel the upgrade.

Pacing is steady rather than flashy. Random maps give you new choke points and resource spreads, and the research tree pushes you toward ballistae, scorpios, and heavier troops. Presentation is clean. Unity gives bright, toy‑like clarity, and the UI gets you around fast once muscle memory kicks in. It sells the fantasy of a small camp turning into a stubborn city.

Caveats: pathfinding gets messy in big sieges, with troops bunching at gates. God events can swing too harshly if you fall behind on offerings. Visual variety repeats over long runs, and the tutorial leaves gaps you fill by trial and error. Performance is light most of the time, but wet weather and crowded assaults can nudge mid‑tier PCs.

Verdict: a scrappy, satisfying builder where faith, walls, and steel keep you alive.
