Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim
Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim launches on October 20, 2025 for PC (Steam). It is developed by Rockbee Team and published by Polden Publishing. A spiritual successor to Majesty, it uses indirect control: build your kingdom, hire unpredictable heroes, set bounties, and watch squads chase gold and glory while you juggle threats and taxes.

Review

Lessaria brings back a niche nobody else is touching. You do not micromanage units, you bribe them. That single idea fuels a lot of emergent stories as heroes argue with your plans, chase side cash, or bail out a fight because the price is wrong. The city layer is readable, with defense radii, patrol routes, and build chains that clarify why monsters reach your homes. Combat is more about momentum than micro. Buffs, fear auras, and terrain bonuses shift the flow, and a bruised squad returning to town can spiral your economy if you are not ready.
The pitch lives or dies on AI personality. If heroes feel distinct and react to danger in believable ways, the world hums. If not, you will feel like a spectator to dice rolls. Performance should be light on mid‑range PCs, and the demo suggests the UI does a better job surfacing priorities than many city‑builders. With campaign maps and a sandbox, there is room for both authored challenges and long, cozy runs.
Verdict: clever throwback RTS that trades control for personality and stories.
