Far Far West launches in Early Access on April 28, 2026 on PC. Developed by Evil Raptor and published by Fireshine Games, it’s a co-op horde shooter that leans into “weird west” chaos, blasting monsters, slinging spells, and grabbing bounties while trying not to get overwhelmed. Runs are built around missions and upgrades, with that familiar co-op rhythm: stick together, improvise when a plan collapses, and celebrate the clutch saves that somehow work.

Review

Far Far West is selling a simple promise: co-op chaos in a setting that’s more fun than “realistic.” The weird west angle gives it permission to mix guns and magic without explaining itself to death, and that’s usually a good thing in a horde shooter. These games live on tempo. You want quick setup, fast action, and enough variety in threats and tools that your group doesn’t fall into the same routine every night.
The mission structure matters as much as the shooting. A good co-op shooter gives you clear objectives that force movement and decision-making, not just “hold here until the bar fills.” If bounties and tasks push teams across the map while enemies escalate, runs stay tense. The other key is build variety. Whether it’s weapon upgrades, spell loadouts, or character perks, players need enough meaningful choices that two sessions don’t feel identical.
Early Access is the obvious caveat. Content volume, balance, and progression tuning will be in flux, and horde shooters can get stale quickly if the enemy roster and mission pool are thin. The other concern is readability. When the screen is full of monsters and effects, clarity is the difference between “intense” and “annoying.”
Verdict: A solid-looking weird west co-op shooter with a strong premise, with Early Access success depending on mission variety, build depth, and clean readability under pressure.
