G-Rebels enters Early Access on July 20, 2026, for PC, with optional PC VR support also available at launch. Developed by Reakktor Studios and published by Senatis, this open-world combat flight game takes place in 2684, after catastrophic flooding forced humanity into enormous floating cities competing for limited resources. Players serve an elite law-enforcement unit and pilot the customizable Skyblade through dense urban airspace, remote outposts, and unstable territories. A secret assignment gradually casts doubt on the player’s allegiance, while dogfights, bounty hunting, racing, smuggling, exploration, faction conflicts, and ship upgrades provide different ways to navigate the drowned world.

Review

G-Rebels combines arcade-style aerial combat with the broader structure of an open-world role-playing game. The Skyblade is built for fast movement through crowded city spaces, allowing encounters to shift between direct dogfights, pursuit sequences, races, and lower-pressure exploration. Weapons, engines, shields, drones, missiles, and stealth equipment can be upgraded, giving players room to prepare different configurations before entering dangerous areas.
The world is more than a backdrop for missions. Players can move away from the main story to hunt bounties, mine resources, escort targets, smuggle cargo, recover artifacts, or compete in races. Outposts, skyports, factories, and power plants can also become part of larger faction conflicts. Dynamic weather, day-night cycles, volumetric clouds, and thousands of simulated aircraft help the floating cities feel active rather than static.
Mission variety should keep the pacing flexible, especially when story operations are mixed with optional work and free exploration. The seamless world also suits the speed of the aircraft, avoiding interruptions whenever players cross into another district or region.
The main concern is that the Early Access launch contains only part of the planned campaign and world. Controls, combat balance, artificial intelligence, VR performance, and advanced flight hardware support are also still being refined. The unusually demanding recommended specification may limit the highest visual settings to powerful PCs.
Verdict: A promising open-world flight combat game with strong customization and atmosphere, though its Early Access scope and demanding hardware requirements should be considered.
