EverSiege: Untold Ages
EverSiege: Untold Ages releases March 26, 2026 on PC. Developed by Tindalos Interactive and published by Dear Villagers, it’s a hero-driven strategy roguelite that flips the usual siege fantasy: you’re not just holding the walls, you’re rebuilding power mid-run and pushing back. Each attempt sends you across a shifting kingdom to gather Wargears and Elemental Essences, fuse them into build-defining combos, and summon elite troops to overwhelm waves before they overwhelm you.

Review

EverSiege: Untold Ages has a clean pitch and, more importantly, a loop that makes sense. You start from a place of loss. The city is in ruins, the enemy is already marching, and your job is to turn scraps into momentum before the siege becomes a slow grind. The game’s build system is the heart of it. Fusing Wargears with Elemental Essences is the sort of mechanic that can create real “my run” stories, the combo that turns a shaky defense into a confident counterpush.
The best strategy roguelites give you pressure and choices at the same time. EverSiege seems built for that. You’re roaming a procedurally generated map to find power, but you’re also watching the clock and the threat curve. Spend too long hunting the perfect upgrade and you risk falling behind. Rush, and you might arrive undercooked. That tension is where a lot of replay value comes from.
Co-op support (up to three players on Steam) could be a big win if the game balances roles well. These kinds of wave-driven fights shine when coordination matters, not just raw damage. The main caveat is readability. With troops, effects, and “build fireworks” happening at once, the game needs clarity so decisions don’t feel like guesswork. The other concern is long-term variety. A roguelite lives on meaningful run-to-run differences, not just bigger numbers.
Verdict: A strong premise for a strategy roguelite, built around combo-driven progression and siege pressure, with its ceiling determined by readability and late-run variety.
