Review

This is not a quick build, it is a lifestyle sim with wrenches. Every subsystem has a purpose, carb jets, timing, fluids, batteries, belts, and the game expects you to know what each does by doing the work. Early runs are a mess in the best way, a trunk full of used parts, a wiring job that barely holds, and a test drive that ends in a ditch because you forgot a bolt. The winter layer adds real friction. Roads demand respect, heaters matter, and a late night rescue becomes a story you tell your friends.
What sells it is the honesty of the systems. Money is tight, stores have hours, and a single mistake can cascade, but the flip side is pride when the engine finally catches and holds idle. The handling has weight, junkyard scrounging is sticky, and the loop from job to upgrade gives clear goals without quest markers. Cautions are expected for Early Access, performance depends on single core CPU speed and bugs will show up, yet the cadence of patches from Amistech and the community’s appetite suggest a long tail.
Verdict
A demanding, oddly cozy wrench‑and‑winter survival that rewards patience, notes, and mechanical curiosity.
