StarRupture
StarRupture releases on January 6, 2026 for PC (Windows). It is developed and published by Creepy Jar. You land on a hostile, shifting planet to mine, automate, and defend, building a base, piping resources through production chains, and fighting alien waves while scouting biomes for new tech. Review

StarRupture sits between survival and automation, and it benefits from both. Early hours are classic scrape by survival: secure shelter, field craft basic gear, and set up power. As blueprints stack, the factory puzzle becomes the real game. Conveyor logic, refining throughput, and power stability feed into combat readiness, since horde intensity scales with progress. Gunplay has enough kick to make holdouts tense, and excursions to new biomes break up the belt building with real risk.
Pacing can wobble if you rush tech, since combat spikes can outpace armor and ammo unless you route supply lines well. The UI asks for a learning curve, but once it clicks, the satisfaction of a humming base is strong. Co‑op smooths rough edges, letting one player scout while another iterates on layouts. The planet looks great too, from thermal storms to bioluminescent nights.
Verdict
A crunchy survival automation hybrid that rewards planning and team play.
