BALL x PIT releases on October 15, 2025 for PC (Steam), with a demo available. Developed by Kenny Sun and published by Devolver Digital. Roguelite, brick‑breaking, and base‑building meet in a fast top‑down loop. You fuse balls into stranger projectiles, ricochet through waves, then haul loot back to grow New Ballbylon. Each run nudges the next: a new hero, a building that feeds resources, a combo that turns a cramped arena into a light show.

Review

BALL x PIT shines when you stop hoarding and start fusing. The Ball Fusion system hands you weird tools and dares you to break the room. One bounce chains into twenty, and suddenly a risky angle clears the screen. Between fights, the city layer gives the roguelite some bones. Buildings change tempo by seeding resources and passive buffs, while recruits tilt runs in new directions. It stays readable even when things get loud, which helps learned plays carry between seeds.
The structure is tidy. Short arenas, sharp rewards, and a map that feeds you back into the pit before the buzz fades. On bad runs, a single shield or well‑timed dash saves enough momentum to chase one more chest. On good runs, fused ammo feels wild without losing control. The demo already nails the feel.
Caveats: without careful tuning, late‑game builds could trivialize rooms, and repetition will creep in if new balls and buildings arrive too slowly. Performance is light, though first boots can stutter as shaders cache. Still, the rhythm is there. Aim, bank, fuse, repeat.
Verdict: brisk, inventive roguelite that turns geometry into grin fuel.
