The remaster aims for fidelity rather than overhaul. Character models and environments read sharper at higher resolutions, but the art style is still the star. The Dual Raid LMBS keeps fights brisk. Linked partners share skills, stagger timings matter, and positioning grants clean punish windows. Bosses lean on patterns that reward quick swaps and item discipline, so even grinding has small tactical beats. Story pacing benefits from two perspectives. Jude’s grounded arc and Milla’s duty thread intersect often enough to keep momentum, and the skits remain charming breaks that fill in relationships without slowing main beats.

Quality of life helps. Autosave reduces friction, encounter toggles make backtracking painless, and PC keybinding plus controller support both feel natural. Two cautions. Camera angles in tight spaces can still clip, and some legacy textures show their age if you pixel‑peep. Those quibbles aside, the package lands as a respectful reissue that plays smoothly on modern setups.
