Thick As Thieves releases May 20, 2026 on PC. Developed by OtherSide Entertainment and published by Megabit Publishing, it’s a stealth-action heist game built around reading spaces, exploiting routines, and escaping clean before the city realizes you were ever there. The pitch is a compact campaign with solo play or co-op, where the fun is in tool choice and improvisation, slipping past guards, grabbing valuables, and making the kind of quiet mistakes that turn a perfect run into a desperate exit.

Review
Thick As Thieves is chasing the best part of stealth games: that calm, focused headspace where you’re watching patterns instead of firing bullets. It’s less about being a superhuman ghost and more about being a thief with limits, someone who survives by staying small. The environments are set up to reward patience. You’re reading guard routes, looking for sightline breaks, testing a door you probably shouldn’t touch yet, and slowly building confidence that you can pull this off.
The co-op option is the interesting wrinkle. Stealth is usually a solitary genre, and adding a second player can either become a mess or become a new kind of tension. The best-case scenario is that the game supports real roles: one player distracts and manages timing while the other takes risks and grabs the objective, with both having to adapt when the plan slips. Even solo, the toolset matters. Lockpicks, smoke, and other classic kit can keep the loop grounded, while any special abilities need to feel like clever options, not “skip the level” buttons.
The main caveat is scope. A shorter campaign can be a feature if the game is replayable and missions support different approaches. But it also means the design has to deliver variety quickly. If encounters repeat or objectives feel too similar, the novelty fades fast. The other caveat is readability. Stealth lives on clear feedback, what alerted a guard, what counts as cover, what the sound model is doing. If those rules are muddy, players stop blaming themselves and start blaming the game.
Verdict: A compact stealth heist built for deliberate play and smart improvisation, with co-op as the wild card that could make its missions even more memorable.
