Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is scheduled to launch on August 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Asobo Studio is returning to the world of A Plague Tale with a prequel set 15 years before Requiem, this time following Sophia on a journey tied to the Macula’s legacy.
Denuvo Is Not Listed Yet
At the time of checking, the Steam page does not show the usual “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper” warning. SteamDB also does not show a clear public Denuvo entry for the app.
That means Resonance should not be treated as a confirmed Denuvo title right now. Still, PC players have learned to watch these pages carefully, since DRM notes can change before launch.
Why PC Players Are Watching
The timing makes the question more interesting. Denuvo has been under heavier pressure in 2026, with Hypervisor bypasses and proper cracks from voices38 keeping the crack-watch scene active. We recently covered that momentum after Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was cracked by voices38.
For now, Resonance is not part of that list. But if Denuvo appears before launch, it immediately becomes another PC release to watch.
Should You Buy It?
If you plan to play Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy on PC, the best move is to wait for launch-week clarity and performance reports. At the moment, Denuvo is not publicly listed.
If you already want to pre-order, the PC Steam version is currently listed with 28% off on Instant Gaming.
