WARDOGS
WARDOGS enters Early Access on September 10, 2026, for PC. Developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17, this large-scale tactical FPS puts up to 100 players into a three-team battle for dynamically positioned Control Zones across destructible Eastern European battlefields. Every player begins with persistent cash that can be spent on weapons, equipment, vehicles, and specialized loadouts, while teamwork actions such as reviving allies, transporting soldiers, supplying positions, and holding objectives generate additional income. Tanks, helicopters, artillery, fortifications, proximity voice chat, construction, destruction, and a persistent economy allow combat roles to extend well beyond conventional infantry gunfights.

Review

WARDOGS takes the scale of a combined-arms shooter and ties nearly every useful action to a persistent cash economy. Players begin with $10,000 and purchase their equipment for each life, which makes an expensive tank, helicopter, rifle, or specialist loadout a strategic investment rather than an automatic spawn option.
Money is not limited to kills. Reviving squadmates, transporting players, supplying teammates, and controlling objectives all generate income. This gives support and logistics players a tangible progression path instead of treating them as volunteers doing less rewarding work.
The three-team structure should create less predictable battles than a standard two-sided frontline. Control Zones appear within larger maps, forcing teams to relocate and reconsider defensive positions. Players can construct forward bases and fortifications, while enemy explosives, vehicles, and artillery can destroy buildings and open new approaches.
Gunplay aims for a realistic feel without becoming a full military simulation. Proximity voice chat reinforces local coordination, and the persistent cash system means reckless deaths can affect more than one immediate firefight.
Early Access remains the major caveat. BULKHEAD expects development to continue for roughly one to two years, with additional maps, weapons, vehicles, fighter jets, progression systems, and objective variations planned. Balance between wealthy established players and newer arrivals will be particularly important.
Verdict: An ambitious large-scale FPS where logistics, construction, destruction, and economic decisions may matter just as much as individual shooting skill.
