Review

The Witcher 3 still shines years after its release. Its world feels lived-in. You travel swampy marshes, war-torn villages, and sun-baked vineyards. Conversations carry weight. Choices affect politics, love interests, or entire kingdoms.
Combat stays methodical. Geralt wields steel and silver swords, casts signs like Igni or Quen, and muscles through fights with potions and bombs. It’s never flashy, but it rewards tight timing. Side quests often change tone. A simple monster hunt leads you into tragedy or political intrigue.
The expansions enrich the ride. Hearts of Stone brings a personal story about power and consequences. It introduces bosses and twists that stay in memory. Blood and Wine offers a new land, Toussaint—a fairy-tale duchy haunted by secrets. It stretches the story beyond what anyone guessed it could be.
A few rough edges remain. Inventory menus are clunky at times. Difficult parts can feel punishing. But the writing, the characters, the soundtrack—all of it invites you to keep going.
Verdict: A deep, thoughtful open-world RPG. Its blend of story, setting, and freedom still feels rare and rewarding.
