Review

Raft thrives on small wins. One net placed right saves a dozen swims, one grill turns chaos into dinner, and the first engine makes the world feel closer. Co‑op is where it shines. Jobs split naturally: one player steers, another cooks, a third fixes shark damage before the floor vanishes under your feet. The story islands add direction without killing the quiet loop of drifting and building.
Crafting stays readable. The tech tree is simple, and the boat grows in layers that make sense. Diving runs keep tension up, especially when oxygen and inventory fight each other. Performance is light on most rigs, though monster rafts can press older GPUs and cause little hitches when a big chunk loads.
Caveats: inventory limits push early frustration, and the shark gets repetitive until better tools arrive. Still, the drift loop is strong. Fish, fix, expand, repeat.
Verdict: cozy survival with just enough teeth.
