Gallipoli
Gallipoli releases on August 20, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed and published by BlackMill Games, this multiplayer World War I FPS expands the WW1 Game Series to the Ottoman fronts, covering battles across the Gallipoli Peninsula and Mesopotamia. Fifty-player objective battles divide soldiers between British and Ottoman forces, with 10 historically inspired classes including Officers, Heavy Machine Gunners, Snipers, and Stretcher Bearers. Authentic weapons, beach landings, trench systems, desert warfare, class-specific equipment, and a momentum-driven attack-and-defense structure shape each operation.

Review

Gallipoli keeps BlackMill Games focused on large historical battles rather than turning the series toward faster arcade shooting. Its signature mode supports 25-versus-25 combat, with attackers completing chained objectives while defenders attempt to drain their momentum before the offensive can advance.
The class system makes individual roles important. Officers coordinate assaults, machine gunners lock down approaches, snipers cover exposed ground, and Stretcher Bearers help keep squads active. Weapons and equipment are tied to historical roles, encouraging teams to solve battlefield problems through coordination instead of everyone carrying similar loadouts.
The Ottoman setting also gives Gallipoli a different visual rhythm from Verdun or Isonzo. Beach assaults around the Dardanelles sit alongside desert expeditions and urban fighting in Mesopotamia, while trenches, forts, dunes, and settlements change how far players can see and how safely they can move.
Combat remains deliberately lethal. A well-placed rifle shot can end an encounter immediately, making careless movement across exposed terrain dangerous. Gore can be disabled, but the default presentation reinforces the physical brutality of the fighting.
Its reliance on multiplayer population is the main caveat. Historical shooters work best when both teams are populated by players who understand their roles, and balance can deteriorate when one side lacks coordination. Steam also notes that the current system requirements are not yet final.
Verdict: A focused continuation of the WW1 Game Series that gives the Ottoman fronts their own identity through lethal squad combat, distinctive classes, and momentum-driven battles.
