Season 2 keeps the choice‑driven spine and does more with it. Scenes branch early, then loop back in smart ways so you see payoff without replaying whole chapters. The writing lands because characters keep their edges, and the tone slides between comedy and drama without losing the thread. Presentation is cleaner. Animations read smoother, camera work is less stiff in transitions, and the UI makes fast loading, save labeling, and route tracking straightforward.
The rhythm is comfortable. You read, pick, and watch consequences arrive faster than they did last season, and optional scenes reward curiosity without punishing a single wrong choice. Two caveats. Keyboard navigation still feels clunky in menus if you avoid the mouse, and route gating will annoy completionists who want everything in one pass. Performance is light on typical PCs, which suits long sessions.
