To bring her back, he must master the Genesis Configuration, a puzzle box capable of granting infernal abilities while drawing the attention of Pinhead and the Cenobites. Review

Hellraiser: Revival treats the franchise as survival horror rather than simply using Pinhead as a recognizable monster. Aidan must manage weapons, ammunition, healing supplies, and inventory space while exploring environments designed around both traditional puzzles and stranger supernatural logic.
The Genesis Configuration provides the game’s most distinctive mechanic. Its powers can be combined with ordinary weapons, giving Aidan options that go beyond firing a gun at every threat. That supernatural layer fits the material well because using the box is never presented as completely safe.
Combat mixes ranged weapons with brutal melee tools, but exploration remains important. Locked containers, environmental mechanisms, safe combinations, crafting materials, and hidden upgrades reward careful searching. More surreal sections use impossible spaces and shifting geometry to make the Labyrinth feel fundamentally different from normal locations.
The return of Doug Bradley as Pinhead gives the story a useful connection to the films, while Clive Barker’s involvement helps the new material feel more closely tied to the original mythology.
The strongest caveat is length. An eight-to-twelve-hour campaign can support tight pacing, but limited enemy variety could still become noticeable if cultists and Cenobites repeat too often.
Verdict: A focused Hellraiser survival horror game that uses inventory pressure, brutal combat, puzzles, and the Genesis Configuration to make the license mechanically meaningful.
