Bus Simulator 27 releases on September 8, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by Simteract and published by astragon Entertainment, this public-transport simulator moves the series to Felicia Bay, a fictional southern European region inspired by Spain and Portugal. Players can drive more than 45 officially licensed buses from 13 manufacturers, operate new long-distance coaches, create routes, manage timetables, hire drivers, assign vehicles, inspect tickets, interact with passengers, explore two cities on foot, and run the same company with friends through four-player cross-platform co-op.

Review

Bus Simulator 27 expands the familiar driving loop with a broader fleet and more varied route structure. More than 45 licensed vehicles cover rigid buses, articulated models, double-deckers, electric buses, and coaches. The addition of coaches matters because long-distance journeys should create a different pace from repeatedly stopping along dense urban routes.

Felicia Bay contains two connected cities and 20 districts, supported by dynamic weather, a full day-and-night cycle, traffic incidents, accidents, and crowded streets. Players can leave the bus at any time, explore landmarks, search for collectibles, travel as passengers, or work as ticket inspectors. These options give the world more purpose beyond serving as scenery visible through a windshield.

Company management remains closely connected to driving. Routes, timetables, advertisements, vehicle assignments, hired drivers, and passenger satisfaction all influence growth. Story, Career, and Sandbox modes offer different levels of structure, while four-player crossplay allows friends to coordinate routes and manage one operation together.

The licensed fleet and sunny setting give the game a strong presentation, but traffic intelligence will be crucial. Unpredictable cars can create convincing challenges, while poor pathfinding can turn routine routes into frustration. The recommended hardware is also unusually demanding for a bus simulator, particularly its 32 GB memory target and high-end graphics requirement.
