Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call
Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call releases on July 27, 2026, for PC. Developed and published by Titan Roc, this narrative-driven fantasy action RPG follows a customizable mercenary entering the devastated Vale of Vahrin in search of contracts and opportunity. Review

Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call is structured around freedom rather than traditional RPG classes. Players can combine melee weapons, bows, spells, traps, alchemy, armor, and other tools without committing to a fixed role. A character can move between ranged attacks and close combat or build around an unusual mixture of abilities as new equipment becomes available.
Real-time combat appears direct and responsive, with enemies ranging from bandits and rival mercenaries to monsters and the insect-like khraiax. The classless system should encourage experimentation, particularly when different regions introduce enemies that punish familiar tactics. Character creation and equipment customization further support a personal approach to progression.
Exploration is just as important as fighting. Overgrown city districts, caves, forests, ruins, and murky bogs contain puzzles, hidden routes, valuable resources, and optional threats. The handcrafted world is designed to reward players who leave the main path rather than treating each environment as a corridor between quests.
The narrative focuses on survivors trying to reclaim Vahrin after a military disaster. Their stories cover grief, love, humor, and desperation, giving smaller quests a place within the broader conflict. Full English voice acting should help these characters carry more weight.
As a project from a small independent team, its scope creates some understandable concern. Combat variety, animation quality, and quest pacing will need to remain consistent across the full adventure. The absence of co-op may also disappoint players drawn to the flexible combat system.
Verdict: A promising handcrafted fantasy RPG with classless progression, dense exploration, and a world shaped by personal stories rather than generic quest chains.
