Nested Lands
Nested Lands launches on February 25, 2026 for PC, with console versions planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It is developed by 1M Bits Horde and published by META Publishing. In a plague-ravaged medieval world, you start with almost nothing, gather survivors, and turn a fragile camp into a working settlement. The hook is management under pressure: assigning roles, building upgradable structures, crafting gear, and keeping people alive while bandits, winter, and disease look for openings. It can be played solo or in online co-op, with the game built around tough decisions that push your village toward stability or collapse.

Review

Nested Lands sells itself on the fantasy of rebuilding in a hostile place, and the best moments come from juggling priorities when everything is going wrong at once. Gathering is not just busywork, it feeds directly into growth, upgrades, and survival. Assigning peasants to tasks gives the settlement a satisfying, lived-in rhythm, especially once you have multiple roles running in parallel and you are planning for the next storm instead of reacting to the last one.
The co-op angle also fits the structure well. Splitting responsibilities, scouting, hauling resources, and defending the settlement can turn what would be a slow solo grind into a sharper team loop. Combat and danger are there to keep the builder side honest, and the tone stays grim without leaning into cheap shock.
There are a couple of clear caveats, though. Early Access survival games live and die on pacing and balance, and the first months can swing between too forgiving and brutally punishing depending on tuning. Performance and stability can also be a moving target at launch, especially with online co-op.
Verdict: A promising settlement survival RPG with strong management fundamentals, as long as you are comfortable riding the Early Access bumps.
