Review

Menace plays like a field commander’s sandbox. Operations chain multiple missions with shifting objectives, and your strike cruiser acts as a mobile HQ where you upgrade, shop the black market, and recruit leaders with distinct perks and drawbacks. On the ground, cover use, suppression, and positioning matter as much as raw stats, and the roster of vehicles adds timing puzzles to otherwise infantry‑focused tactics. Procedural maps and events keep campaigns unpredictable without losing structure.
The presentation leans clean and readable, with sharp silhouettes and UI that prioritizes information density. Progression has teeth: leaders level up, morale fluctuates after wins or squad wipes, and builds diverge fast. Expect difficulty spikes if you over‑extend or chase optional encounters too early, and early access balance may shift under your feet as systems settle. Even so, the loop of planning operations, tuning squads, and executing tight, turn‑based fights is compelling.
Verdict
Thoughtful, systems‑first tactics with meaningful progression and just enough chaos to keep you adapting.
