Review

Origins brings back the thrill of 1 vs 1000 with a stronger tactical spine. Enemy density is high, yet arenas remain legible. Lock‑on duels against named officers hit harder than the mob, forcing careful meter use and movement. Crowd tools still shred lines, but positioning near allies, capturing siege points, and timing pushes make a visible difference. The control response is crisp, and the PC version supports high refresh, ultrawide, and modern upscalers.

The campaign frames classic events through a single protagonist which tightens pacing. Battle flow alternates objective pushes with short skirmish pockets, keeping downtime low. Weapon arts and builds create room to specialize without drowning the screen in UI. On the flip side, some side objectives repeat and a few fortress assaults run long if you miss optimal routes. Performance is stable on capable hardware, though CPU spikes can appear in the heaviest hordes.

A fast, readable musou with meaningful battlefield tactics and a solid PC feature set.
