Company of Heroes 3 keeps the series’ clarity and adds more ways to shape a battle before the first shot. On the tactical layer, suppression, armor facings, and sightlines still decide trades, and the new tactical pause in single player lets you stack orders without losing the real time flow. The Italian Campaign map adds satisfying logistics, so cutting a road or seizing a port changes how the next mission plays. Armies feel distinct without gimmicks, and Battlegroups offer flexible spikes, off map strikes, special infantry, or armor calls that open different timing windows.
Presentation is strong, readable silhouettes and sharp audio make battlefield states easy to parse, and destruction remains a star. Caveats exist. Launch balance wobbled and some pathfinding can still hiccup in dense towns, though patches have improved both. Multiplayer is at its best in coordinated teams where roles are clear, and solo players will get the most from the broad single player suite.
