The Legacy releases on October 8, 2025 for PC (Steam). Developed by Second Reality and published by RockGame S.A. Co‑op survival with a horror spine, it drops you in the Carpathians to break a family curse. Food, warmth, and stamina matter. Nights bite hard, storms soak you, and a bad route snowballs fast. You gather, craft, and build a small camp, then push toward Svetlograd where myths walk and rituals can save or doom a run.

Review

The Legacy works because survival choices carry weight. You pack light to keep stamina high, then regret leaving a pot behind when the temperature swings. Hunting and fishing are not filler, they are plan B when the store runs dry. The map sells scale without wasting your time. Villages, bunkers, forest clearings, each with notes that hint at routes and weird threats. Combat is messy by design. A cracked shotgun, a knife that buys space, a sprint that barely makes a treeline.

Co‑op helps more than it hurts. One player builds, another scouts, a third keeps the fire and the packs sorted. Voice chat matters. A quick call about weather or a trail of footprints saves hours. The potion system is the curveball. Herbs and rituals give outs beyond bullets, and a successful banishment feels like cheating death the clever way.

Caveats: AI behavior can wobble when multiple threats converge, and inventory shuffling gets fussy if you hoard. Expect shader warm‑up stutter on a first boot and longer loads without an SSD. Even so, the loop holds. Read the sky, plan a short push, and earn the quiet minute by the fire.

Verdict: grounded survival with just enough occult spice to keep you guessing.
