Wall World 2 releases on November 11, 2025 for PC (Steam) and macOS. Developed and published by Alawar, it builds on the drill‑and‑defend loop of the first game. You park the robospider, dig into shifting strata for upgrades, then sprint back topside when sirens wail. The sequel pushes deeper biomes, denser waves, and a wider tech web, so every dive feels like a bet: go a little farther, or live to mine again.

Review

The hook still bites: tight runs with clear risk, quick spend phases, then a fight that punishes greed. Combat reads cleaner this time. Turrets track smarter, enemy silhouettes pop against neon storm skies, and dodging during repairs is less clumsy. The build curve is better too. Early nodes add utility instead of raw numbers, so you make choices that shape runs rather than chase one obvious path.
Mid‑game pressure ramps hard. Waves mix flyers with burrowers that slip past lazy setups, and that forces you to rethink tunnel geometry. Carve escape shafts. Leave resource caches for bad cycles. The rhythm settles into a satisfying grind that rarely stalls. Caveats: pathfinding can snag on odd tile seams and a few late weapons still outshine the pack, dulling variety across long sessions. Nothing fatal, just balance work.
Performance on PC and macOS looks light, though particle storms can nibble frames on older GPUs. Settings are granular enough to keep 60+ stable.
Verdict: sharper loops and better choices, still a great “one more run” miner.
