Review
Jump Space understands co‑op rhythm. One moment you are rerouting power while a friend patches a hull breach. Next you jet to an enemy craft, cut your way in, and scramble through tight corridors. The handoff between roles feels natural. No fixed classes, just a crew figuring it out. Fights hit quick. Weapons pop, oxygen ticks down, and bad calls snowball fast, which keeps tension high even on short missions.
Upgrades matter. Salvage feeds your ship, and every swap has a tradeoff: heavier guns drain power, quicker engines leave defenses thin, better shields slow your turn rate. Runs start to tell stories, the kind you laugh about after a wipe. Presentation leans clean and readable, with cockpit panels you can parse at a glance and audio cues that sell incoming threats.
There are caveats. Solo play is workable but thin, exactly as the devs warn. Early Access means balance will swing, UI menus stack up, and some objectives repeat between seeds. Mid‑range PCs can dip when debris and effects fill the screen. Still, the core loop holds. Crew up, jump in, improvise.
Verdict: smart, punchy co‑op that shines with friends, promising foundation in Early Access.
