Atomic Heart 2 is TBA for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No official storefront page lists date or specs at the moment. If this sequel follows the first game, expect hybrid combat that mixes firearms, glove‑based powers, and environmental traps inside retro‑futurist labs and factories. Expect labyrinthine levels, puzzle rooms, and heavy audio‑visual style.

Review

The original shined when encounters let you set tempo. A sequel should push that even further. Powers that interact cleanly with surfaces, enemies that force ability swaps, and weapons that reward control bursts over spray. Crafting can stay, but drop the filler. Fewer, stronger upgrades beat pages of minor stat bumps. Boss fights need cleaner telegraphs and less armor bloat so failures feel fair.
PC performance is the big question. Stable frame pacing, a real FOV slider, and faster shader compiles would solve many of the first game’s pain points. If ray‑traced effects return, they need sensible presets and upscaler support to avoid whiplash between scenes.
Verdict: lots of style, room for a tighter, smarter sequel.
