Review

This is a tactics game that rewards patience. Formations and facing decide whether volleys break lines or bounce off, and fatigue pushes you to rotate units rather than grind. Cavalry, artillery, and skirmishers have sharp roles, and the terrain reads clearly enough to make flanks feel earned. Between battles, the campaign layer asks real questions about rest, replacements, and supply routes, so you cannot just spam fights and hope veterancy holds.
Controls are readable, orders queue cleanly, and the camera gives the right altitude for situational awareness. Caveats are familiar. Pathing and UI feedback will make or break large engagements, and historical balance can tilt if one arm gets overtuned. If the studio keeps iterating post‑launch, the system depth is here for a solid niche strategy loop.
Verdict: grounded historical RTS with crunchy logistics and clean feedback.
