Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 tightens what the first game did well. Strikes land cleaner, dashes feel snappier, and assist calls stitch combos together without turning everything into mash. Dual Ultimates make team building matter. You can set up a safe finisher or gamble on a longer route and risk a break. The roster helps too, with Hashira and demon picks that push you to learn matchups instead of leaning on one flowchart.

Story mode moves fast. Cutscenes look sharp, then you are back to boss patterns that read fair once you learn the tells. VS Mode is where the time goes. Online holds steady, and the Gear layer adds a nudge of personalization without drowning the fundamentals. It is still anime arena fighting at heart, simple to learn and busy to master.

Caveats: camera angles can struggle in walls, and a handful of auto‑tracking moves feel sticky in corners. Some story beats are more recap than fresh ground, so veterans may sprint to VS. On PC, Denuvo is listed, and the build aims for 1080p60 on modest hardware, but you will want a bit more for locked frames.

Verdict: sharper, faster, and a better lobby grind, even if the story plays it safe.
