Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac keeps the bright, quick feel of the PS2 era, only tighter. Movement has snap. The rev roll builds speed without fighting the camera, and the butt bounce still clears crowds in a pinch. Levels are familiar but stretched, with secrets tucked behind simple environmental tricks. Bosses play cleaner than you remember, less guessy, more pattern driven.

The upgrade helps more than screenshots show. Lighting gives depth to snow and lava, water stages read better, and voice work sells the Saturday‑morning tone. The expanded hub adds short errands that feed upgrades and cosmetics, which nudges you to poke around instead of rushing to the next world. Local co‑op is basic but a good couch option for quick runs.

Caveats: the camera still snags in tight corridors, and ice physics swing from cute to cruel fast. A few checkpoints sit too far from tricky jumps, which turns retries into a slog. On PC, the game is light on hardware, but older GPUs can dip if you push resolution scaling. None of this breaks the run and jump loop. It just reminds you this is still classic platforming at heart.

Verdict: cheerful, snappy, and sometimes prickly, a smart remaster that respects the original.
