Review

Yet Another Zombie Survivors keeps the basic bullet heaven loop deliberately simple, but the squad system gives each run more structure than controlling one endlessly upgraded character. Survivors attack automatically, so movement and positioning remain the immediate priorities while the player decides which abilities, weapons, and team members deserve investment.
Adding another survivor changes more than raw damage. Each character brings different weapons and support options, allowing one run to develop around ranged control while another leans toward close-range damage, fire, explosives, or a more balanced group. Weapon evolutions and character upgrades create large jumps in power without requiring complicated input during the busiest moments.
Permanent progression gives failed runs value. Skill-tree upgrades, achievement-based unlocks, difficulty modifiers, and the prestige system create reasons to return even after reaching the point where basic hordes stop feeling threatening. Players can also deliberately strengthen the virus to make enemies faster and more dangerous in exchange for a harder challenge.
Presentation remains readable despite the number of enemies on screen. Large effects, projectiles, explosions, and zombie crowds create constant visual noise, but the overhead perspective makes movement routes relatively easy to judge.
The main caveat is repetition. The core action is built around surviving increasingly dense waves, and players who do not enjoy incremental build optimization may find the structure repetitive long before every upgrade is unlocked.
Verdict: A polished bullet heaven that stands out through flexible squad building, aggressive power growth, and enough permanent progression to keep repeated zombie runs rewarding.
