Windswept releases on November 11, 2025 for PC (Steam) and consoles. Developed by WeatherFell and published by Top Hat Studios, it’s a 90s‑style buddy platformer about Marbles the duck and Checkers the turtle trying to get home after a storm. Levels string together quick challenges, hidden collectibles, and short bonus rooms, with solo play or same‑screen co‑op.

Review

The appeal is simple and honest. Windswept builds short stages around one or two ideas, lets you toy with them, then moves on. Jumps feel snappy, mid‑air control lands where you expect, and the camera keeps both characters readable when the screen gets busy. Tag‑team tricks are the fun part: pop a switch with the duck’s better hang time, then swap to the turtle for a tighter landing or a slam to break a weak floor. Good runs look clean. Messy ones are still funny.
Collectibles push replay without turning grindy. You’ll clear a level fast, then return to route for medals or an off‑path secret. The best stages teach through layout instead of prompts. A couple of set pieces run long and a few hazards repeat late, but the flow mostly holds. Presentation leans bright and chunky, with music that nudges tempo instead of shouting over it.
On PC, the goals are steady frame pacing and low input latency. Platformers live on that. The demo build suggests light requirements, so most rigs should be fine.
Verdict: cheerful platforming with tight routes, better with a second player on the couch.
