Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake is planned for 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft is rebuilding the classic turn-based strategy game with modern 3D visuals, updated presentation, and the original campaigns alongside Armageddon’s Blade and The Shadow of Death.
The Denuvo Confirmation Is Hidden In The EULA
The main Steam page may not show the usual “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper” warning, but the game’s Steam EULA tells a different story.
Under “3. ACCESS TO THE PRODUCT,” Ubisoft states that the product is protected by DRM software and Denuvo Anti-Tamper Protection Technology. That means Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake should now be treated as a confirmed Denuvo title, even if the clearer Steam store warning is not visible on the main page yet.
The EULA also mentions that the DRM may limit installations, may require extra copy-protection components, may need an online connection during installation or first launch, and may leave certain anti-tamper files behind after uninstalling the product.
Ubisoft Connect Is Part Of The Same Fine Print
Denuvo is not the only PC layer here. The same EULA also says an internet connection, a Ubisoft Connect account, the Ubisoft Connect client, and account activation are required. It also lists a limit of five distinct computers in a 24-hour period.
For a strategy game with such a long PC history, that fine print will matter. Heroes III has survived for decades because of its community, maps, campaigns, mods, and long-term replay value. A modern remake arriving with Denuvo and Ubisoft Connect attached will naturally raise questions about offline play, preservation, and how friendly the PC version will feel years after launch.
Another Ubisoft Denuvo Release To Watch
