Review

Madmind leans into horror spectacle and control. The loop mixes hunting inmates across grim wings with crafting and upkeep between shows. Weapons and traps enable cruel creativity, but the tension comes from timing, line of sight, and a broadcast audience that rewards brutality. Art direction is aggressive, with heavy post effects, theatrical blood, and sound that pushes metal scrapes and low drones. When it settles into the stalk, the game is at its best, a grim cat‑and‑mouse that asks you to plan angles rather than rush.
Concerns are familiar for the studio. Tone will put off some players, and pacing can dip if objectives ask for repetition instead of escalation. The Steam page does not list PC specs at the time of writing, so performance is an unknown. If you are here for shock horror with systems attached, this looks aimed directly at that taste.
Verdict
A nasty hunt‑and‑broadcast horror sim that lives on timing and spectacle.
