Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade dropped on 26 April 2024 for PlayStation 5, with a Windows version releasing on 11 June 2025 via Steam and Epic Games Store. Developed by Shift Up and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, it sends you into a crumbling, post-apocalyptic Earth. You take on the role of Eve, a soldier fighting to reclaim the planet from monstrous Naytiba forces. Combat demands sharp timing—parry, dodge, build your Beta and Burst Gauges, and unleash satisfying counterattacks. The world rewards exploration, with wall-scaling, rope traversal, and side quests hidden throughout populated and ruined environments.

Deluxe / Complete Edition — what you get
- Digital Deluxe originally added cosmetic “Stargazer” outfits for Eve/Adam/Lily, glasses/earrings for Eve, a drone skin, plus 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold.
- On PC, the Complete Edition bundles the base game + all Digital Deluxe bonuses + the Twin Expansion Pack (crossovers with NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE) and other extras.
Review
Stellar Blade hits hard—literally. Combats feel alive. When you parry just right, time slows and you open the enemy wide with a counter. Layer in skills tied to the Beta and Burst Gauges, and your punishment stacks with visual flair.
The setting is sharp—bone-white ruins draped in alien vines, silent settlements dotted with echoes of human life. Traversal is part of the thrill: climb a crumbling tower, swing across gaps, then face a beast at the top. Side missions don’t hang around—settle one, and the world shifts in subtle ways.
The story moves fast, if thin. You’re part of a rebel strike team reclaiming humanity’s home. Twists land but don’t disrupt the flow. Some questioned Eve’s design and the sexual tone, and that does distract at points. Still, for many the combat overpowers those concerns.
The PC port shines on solid hardware. Performance on high-end rigs stays smooth, and it scales well—though you’ll want a fast SSD to handle the load. Very few bugs stand out.
Critics praised its combat and polish. You ride that adrenaline every step of the way.
Verdict: A stylish, brutal ride. Stellar Blade nails fast-paced melee with flair, even if its story sometimes fades behind the action.
