Review

Compulsion’s world feels considered. Prospero is dense with texture, from flooded streets to sleepy bars, and the art style reads like a painted diorama that comes alive. Combat trims the fat. Light, heavy, and weave abilities form a triangle where timing matters, and enemy tells push you to interrupt, reposition, then cash in a punish. The weaving system doubles as traversal. Tethers and repairs open shortcuts and secrets, so exploration feeds the move set and vice versa.
Pacing lands well for a focused action adventure. Chapters open with quiet beats, spike during boss encounters, then leave room for side stories that give the county a memory. Two caveats. Lock‑on can feel sticky when arenas get crowded, and a handful of platforming lines look fussier than they play. On PC the Steam build lists fair requirements and scales cleanly on mid‑range hardware, though 60 GB on SSD is recommended.
Verdict: stylish, heartfelt folktale with clean combat and strong sense of place.
