Review

Remnant II works because fights ask for builds and footwork, not just DPS. You tag weak points with a clean rifle, swap to a status mod to set up a ground control trick, then pop a team buff before a boss phase flips. Archetypes build identity without locking you in, and dual‑classing smooths rough edges in pickup groups.
Procedural chunks do their job. Routes remix, secrets land, and the odd puzzle gives you a breather. Gunfeel is tight, and the dodge‑to‑i‑frames timing stays readable even when the screen gets noisy. Endgame pushes into mutators and harder rolls where small gear swaps matter.
Caveats: performance at launch was bumpy on PC, and even now heavy post effects can nibble frames on mid GPUs. RNG can troll new players with awkward world orders. With friends on comms, most of that melts away.
Verdict: sharp co‑op shooter with build depth and teeth.
