Review

The first Paranormasight worked because decisions felt tactile. Mermaid’s Curse keeps that spirit but widens the stage, stitching multiple viewpoints into one knot. The camera pans around panoramas to hide clues, and the new diving mini-game breaks up reading cadence with light, thematic interaction. Choice webs remain the hook: you solve logic traps by reading people as much as text, and the writing leans human, not melodramatic.
Two caveats. If route-hopping becomes too freeform, tension can deflate between breakthroughs. And on PC, very low spec targets might show aliasing in detailed backgrounds unless the post-processing options are robust. If the puzzle logic stays fair, this should be another slow-burn mystery that respects the player’s attention.
Verdict: A thoughtful follow-up that expands scope without losing the series’ sharp puzzle storytelling.
