Review

Capcom’s Star Force anthology does the important work: it preserves the DS era while smoothing edges for today. Visual filters are optional, the arranged soundtrack is easy to toggle, and quality‑of‑life switches like encounter rate and autosave respect your time without flattening the original pace. Online versus gives these card‑driven battles a second life, and the gallery mode is generous, from concept art to a complete card index that doubles as a series archive.

The collection is still the DS core at heart, which means the camera and maze‑like routes can feel dated, and the combat flow is more about deck shaping than flashy movement. Even so, the package is thoughtfully assembled and the extras make revisiting or discovering Geo and Omega‑Xis feel straightforward instead of fussy. If you have any nostalgia for the series, this is the cleanest way to play it on PC.

Verdict
A careful, feature‑rich preservation that respects the originals and modern time budgets.
