Low-Budget Repairs
Low-Budget Repairs releases on August 13, 2026, for PC. Developed by Gray2RGB and published by Simplicity Games and PlayWay S.A., this first-person renovation simulator places players inside Polish apartment blocks during the 1990s. As a handyman more interested in quick profit than careful craftsmanship, players accept repair jobs, buy unreliable tools, stretch limited materials, paint walls, install tiles, move furniture, repair damaged rooms, and conceal poor workmanship long enough to collect payment from unsuspecting clients.

Review

Low-Budget Repairs turns renovation into a comedy about cutting corners. Each job presents familiar tasks such as painting, tiling, repairing plumbing, clearing damaged furniture, or remodeling an entire room. The difference is that perfect work is rarely the most profitable approach.
Materials and tools cost money, creating an incentive to improvise. Paint can be diluted, tiles placed without proper measurement, and cheap equipment pushed beyond its sensible limits. These shortcuts save resources in the moment but can create visible defects or unexpected problems later in the job.
The physical interactions give the work a playful quality. Furniture that cannot pass through a doorway may be dismantled, forced through, or simply thrown from a window. Rooms gradually change as debris disappears, walls receive new finishes, and questionable repairs cover the original damage.
Progress depends on balancing speed, cost, and the client’s patience. Buying better tools should make later contracts easier, but spending too much undermines the central goal of maximizing profit. The most interesting decisions will come from judging exactly how careless a repair can be before the customer refuses to accept it.
The joke could become repetitive if every mission relies on the same deliberately bad solutions. Controls also need to remain precise, since placing tiles or handling furniture becomes frustrating when physical objects refuse to cooperate.
Verdict: A light and knowingly dishonest renovation simulator that finds its identity in improvised repairs, cheap tools, and the constant temptation to sacrifice quality for profit.
