King of Meat
King of Meat releases on October 7, 2025 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch planned for early 2026. Developed by Glowmade and published by Amazon Games. It is a co op party platformer about TV glory and ridiculous danger. You run devious gauntlets, fight chunky monsters, and build your own dungeons for the community to beat. Four players can dive in, swap weapons, trigger Glory Moves, and stitch short routes into highlight reels. The hook is creation: if you can play it, you can build it.

Review

King of Meat lands somewhere between chaotic platforming and light brawler. Runs move fast. You hop pads, dodge traps, bait a brute into a pit, then pop a Glory Move to clear a lane. Combat is simple, but hit stops and sound cues give swing and timing. Levels shine when a clean route clicks and the team trades quick callouts instead of yelling over chaos. The creator tools are the spine. Building a dungeon is approachable, and the rule that you must beat a level before sharing keeps junk out of the feed.
Presentation leans loud and bright, like a game show that lost the manual. It works. Readable silhouettes, crunchy VFX, and music that sells tension in short bursts. Progression is light touch, more style than stat grind, which fits a party loop. The best nights are a mix of dev maps and a friend’s evil “learning experience.”
Caveats: cameras can crowd in tight corners, and some physics gags fling you a little further than expected. Community maps will vary, and repetition creeps in if curation slips. On PC, the Steam build lists Easy Anti Cheat with kernel level drivers and a required online connection, which some players will side eye. Still, with three friends and a few smart creations, it clicks.
Verdict: breezy co op mayhem with creator teeth, rough in spots but easy to recommend with a group.
