Carnival Hunt releases July 23, 2026 on PC. Developed by Beer Night Studio and published by Crytivo, it is an asymmetric social horror multiplayer game set inside a twisted carnival where wind-up Bunnies try to survive while a Monster hunts them through the dark. The core trick is resource panic: Bunnies need wind-up keys and communication to stay alive, while the Monster feeds on fear, isolation, and every bad decision a team makes when the lights start failing.

Review

Carnival Hunt has a strong horror setup because it understands that asymmetry needs more than one scary player and a few hiding spots. The Bunnies are not just survivors with legs. They are wind-up toys, which means the survival loop has a physical, readable pressure: keep moving, keep winding, keep talking, or become easy prey.

The microphone recommendation is not a throwaway detail. This kind of game works best when communication is part of the tension, not just a Discord habit. If players are arguing over who has a key, who is being chased, and whether that sound came from a teammate or the Monster, the match can create the kind of panic horror games are always chasing.

The Monster side needs equal care. A good asymmetric hunter should feel powerful without feeling automatic. The fun is in reading the team, cutting off routes, and punishing panic, not just winning because the stats say you should. Early Access is the caveat. Asymmetric games need careful balance, enough maps, and strong matchmaking to avoid becoming miserable for one side.

Verdict: A smart asymmetric horror concept with a strong resource hook, with Early Access success depending on balance, map variety, and how well voice-driven panic holds up over repeated matches.
