Beneath launches on October 27, 2025 for PC (Steam). It is developed by Camel 101 and published by Wired Productions. A Lovecraft‑tinged survival FPS set in oppressive undersea facilities, it leans on scarce ammo, heavy sound design, and nasty enemy pressure to keep you moving carefully.

Review

Beneath is built on dread and restraint. Weapons hit hard, but reloads are slow and ammo is a constant negotiation, so you learn to kite and commit. Encounters mix humanoids with larger horrors that force space control and gadget use, and the level art sells metal, brine, and bad air. Audio does a lot of work, from distant groans to alarms that spike stress at the wrong moment. Checkpoints are frequent enough to stay fair without deflating tension.
Not everything lands. Guns can feel stiff until you unlock key attachments, and a few arena layouts funnel you into awkward corners. Performance is stable on modern rigs, though the painterly post‑process can be heavy if you ignore defaults. The campaign keeps throwing new enemy variables and keeps upgrade pacing lean, which helps the last hours finish strong.
Verdict: moody survival shooter that rewards restraint and clean decision‑making.
