Review

Valhalla’s England is easy to live in. The map is thick with side tales, cairn puzzles, dungeons, and myth detours that break up raids and castle pushes. Combat has weight, whether you run dual axes or a heavy shield. Settlement building adds a gentle management arc, and the regional sagas keep momentum even as the hours stack up.
Tradeoffs exist. The campaign runs long with some filler arcs, and busy towns can wobble unless you tune settings. The best way to play is to clear a region, move on, and let the rhythm carry you.
Verdict: huge, hearty Viking RPG that rewards patient explorers.
