ARC Raiders
ARC Raiders releases on October 30, 2025 for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed and published by Embark Studios. A PvPvE extraction shooter set in a ruined slice of Earth, it pits scrappy Raiders against rival squads and the machine hordes called ARC. You dive topside to scavenge parts, pick fights, and extract before storms, drones, or other players end the run. In the hub, you craft gear, tune a skill tree, and pick contracts that shape the next sortie. The hook is tension, read the map, make noise on purpose, then vanish with loot that actually upgrades the next raid.

Review

ARC Raiders clicks when you play greedy and smart at the same time. Surface runs are loud puzzles. You probe patrols, tag a drone nest, then bait a rival squad into the machines before slipping past to crack a cache. Gunplay sits in the clean, mid‑range lane. Recoil is honest, time‑to‑kill gives room for decisions, and gadgets like ziplines and deployables create exits when plans go sideways. The storm and sound rules keep you moving. If you over‑farm, the map turns against you.
The hub loop gives raids purpose. Crafting turns scrap into rifles and railguns with bite, augments tilt builds toward stealth or aggression, and quests from traders build a light story without stopping the flow. Four launch maps promise variety, and the Italy‑by‑way‑of‑UE5 look sells the contrast between busted surface and lively underground.
Caveats are real. Extraction balance lives and dies on tuning, and Early Access tests showed frame dips in crowded fights on mid PCs. Third‑party mics and open lobbies can turn stealth into chaos if a squadmate gets careless. Pricing sparked debate after the pivot away from free‑to‑play. Even with that, the pitch holds. You plan a route, pick a fight you can win, and leave heavier than you arrived.
Verdict: tense, readable extraction raids with style, built to create stories per run.
