Review
Denshattack! has the kind of pitch that would fall apart if the controls were even slightly off. A train doing tricks is funny for about five seconds. After that, the game has to make the joke feel good in your hands. That is the real test here, and the best version of Denshattack! is all about flow: lining up a grind, committing to a jump, twisting the train through the air, and landing clean enough to keep the combo alive.
The comparison point is not a standard platformer. It feels closer to a score-chasing arcade game where the level is a line you read at speed. The city matters because every rail, ramp, curve, and billboard is part of the route. A good stage should feel a little impossible on the first pass, then slowly turn into a playground once you understand its rhythm.
The combat and boss encounters need to be careful, though. If they interrupt movement too often, the whole game loses its pulse. The trick system should stay in charge, with enemies and hazards acting like pressure, not roadblocks. Customization is a nice layer too, as long as it feeds the style without burying the simple joy of chaining a perfect run.
The caveat is repetition. Arcade platformers need sharp level variety and clean restart pacing, because players will retry sections a lot. If Denshattack! keeps the rails readable and the skill ceiling high, it could be one of those games that looks silly until you realize you have been chasing one better score for an hour.
Verdict: A weird, stylish arcade platformer with a strong movement hook, strongest when it lets speed and score-chasing do the talking.
