Review

Cyanide doubles down on systems that made Styx sing. Levels are tall and knotty, full of gadgets to chain, from grapples and gliders to Quartz powers that bend time and minds. The best moments hinge on nerve and timing, slipping past a patrol you barely understand, then realizing the space was built for three other solutions. Combat remains a last resort, rightly so. The UI is clearer, routes telegraph better, and experimentation is encouraged.
A couple of caveats, as ever with stealth sandboxes. Checkpoint spacing can punish curiosity when an experiment fails at the wrong time, and high view distances will tax mid‑range GPUs in busy hubs. With readable tools and room to improvise, this feels like the most confident Styx yet.
Verdict: Vertical, creative stealth that rewards planning and cheeky improvisation.
