Review

DuneCrawl builds its identity around a moving base and a world that never sits still. The crab crawler is both vehicle and stage, so most fights ask you to juggle helm control, cannon arcs, and leg repairs while enemies swarm from multiple vectors. Weapons have a punchy cadence, and swapping between deck duties and on foot skirmishes keeps arenas lively. Progression flows through masks, talismans, and chassis upgrades, which steadily widen your options without bloating the kit. The open desert, dotted with islands and hidden delves, pushes you to chase the horizon for new parts and stories.
Co‑op is the showpiece. With four players, the ship becomes a proper crew sim where clear calls and job swapping matter. Solo is viable, though some encounters feel tuned for multiple hands and can drag if you wipe. Performance holds up during busier raids, but camera readability can dip when projectiles, particles, and add waves stack. Even with those caveats, the rhythm of sail, skirmish, and scavenge lands.
Verdict
A clever desert adventure that shines brightest with a crew at the cannons.
